CAST (Citizens And Students Together) is a volunteer community health coalition that supports programs that will enhance healthy
conditions toward a drug free community in both Foster and Glocester. Our "Partners In Prevention" program encompasses:
- Community
- Peers
- School
- Family
Our primary goal is to reduce violence and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by encouraging other organizations to include prevention of underage smoking and drinking as
a formal part of their mission, goals, or strategies. We are interested in groups willing to become Partners In Prevention, and we seek programs that have some support from other community
groups. If you have a program that can address the issue of health promotion toward a violence and drug free community, please join us! Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful
citizens can change the world. Indeed it's the only thing that ever has. — Margaret Mead CAST welcomes new members.
Meetings are held the first Monday of each month
at the Ponaganset High School Library, 7-9 PM.
